A small nerve popped out of Yumiko's forehead. You've gotta be kidding me. She looked into the profile of Rekkusu. Kicked off his team for not cooperating and didn't pass both chunnin exams. Not only that he's part of the head Hyuga. She leaned her head into her palm, some of her long hair fell the side as her green eyes scanned the profile. Being the new Hokage, she didn't have a demeaning poster, only being 5'3" and only weighing a mere 126 pounds, one wouldn't have to be too afraid of her.
"Hopefully with this one-on-one we can get him motivated." Her eyes trailed to another profile, one that was marked with the name of Hikari Hatake. "And if all goes well we can introduce two more members." She closed Rekkusu's folder to look up and see the door slowly open.

Hands behind his head, Hikari walked through the forest. It was such a pretty spring day, Hikari just wanted to go read under a tree some where. Watching the clouds as he walked he heard a bird. Looking to his left he saw on of the Hokages birds. Now what he thought, slowing to a stop he let out a sigh. "Guess I won't be getting to relax after all," Hikari stretched and ran off. Jumping through trees he headed toward the administration building. What could the Lady Hokage want with me he thought. It had only been a day since he had gotten back from his last mission. He had not even had the time to rest up from it.
Stopping at the stairs that lead to the Hokages office, Hikari sighed again. "Do I really need to go another mission already" he complained as he started up the long curved stair case. His foot steps echoed as he walked up them. He could tell by how quite it was, he was the only one in the administration building right now. Knocking on the Hokages door Hikari let himself in after a few seconds. "You needed me lady Hokage," Hikari spoke with a respectful tone. |

Rekkusu was lazily strolling through Konoha as often did now a days. Life was so much easier now that he wasn't on a team. No responisibilities, no one to bother him, and no one to push him around. It couldn't get any better. Then he heard a bird and looked up to see one the Hokage's birds. He just stared at it for a moment, "Uh..." He then shouted up at the bird, "You've got the wrong Hyuga bird!" He waved his arms around hoping the bird would fly off. A few people looked at him like something was wrong. The bird just kept circling. Rekkusu looked to the ground and sighed.
He casually made his way to the Administration building, taking his time as always. There was no way the Hokage actually summoned for him. He should have been the last person to be summoned. He then thought to himself and stopped. "Maybe that's it!" He thought maybe that everyone else was out on missions and they had a really dangerous mission and he was the only one available so they had to make due, and his abilities may have also just fit the profile perfectly. That had to be it. There was no other explanation he thought.
He walked inside the Administration building and up the stairs. Two guards were patrolling and they spotted him. Instantly they saw trouble, only because it was Rekkusu. "Hey, there's no way you're supposed to be in here!" They came running at him.
He was practically just outside the Hokage's office when the two guards charged him. "Byakugan!" He felt a sudden joy in the thought of taking down these guards. They should have known that the Hokage would have most definitely invited him here. He dodged there attacks and with gentle fist placed a few precise hits on each of them. The guards then dropped as Rekkusu closed off specific tenketsu that would knock them out. He then heard more running from down the hall. More guards of course. He then quickly opened the Hokage's door and slammed the door behind him with his back to the Hokage as if waiting for the guards to bust through.

Hikari jumped as the Hokages door was flung open. Hearing the guards made Hikari think that the lady Hokage was under attack he could see the enemy standing right behind him. Luckily for Hikari this ninja had his back toward him. Hikari ran and tackled the strange ninja, "How dare you attack the Hokage." Hikari yelled at the ninja, he would not let this ninja hurt on hair on the Hokages head. "Headhunter jutsu" Hikari made his hand signs when he said this. "Lets see you get the Hokage when you can't even move." Hikari was starting to get a big head. How cool it would be to have to have the lady Hokage thank him for his bravery.
A big smile covered his face, maybe the Lady Hokage would even make him one of her personal body guards. He jumped of the ninja in hopes the headhunter jutsu had worked. If it had not worked he would have to turn to more drastic measures. He started to store chakra in his right arm. He would need to use his lightning blade if his headhunter didn't work. |

Yumiko stood up and smiled, she was happy that one of them came. Yumiko stood up and walked from behind her desk to the front. "Yes you are needed. I know this may not sound exciting but." She paused for a moment, putting some of her hair behind her ear. Her green eyes tensed up, sensing something going on outside. "You're going to have a small team." She then leaned her head over the side and mumbled, "Very small." Yumiko then looked at Hikari again and smiled.
Why do I feel more stressed than I should...? She asked herself as her door opened up wide and a person jumped in and slammed to door. Then she heard the footsteps of her gaurds running to the room. Seriously. Yumiko brought her teeth together in anger. They should know that I'm having... Unless this person attacked them. Her then pressed the bridge of her nose. She then looked up to see Hikari go and attack the person. "Wait a minute!" She said waving her hands in front of her.
No one's gonna listen to me, huh? As she felt Hikari's chakra rise in his other arm, ready for a back-up attack. Yumiko then preformed a few hands signs and if one looked closely at her arms, they would notice a glisten to them, as if they were covered in a thin layer of diamond. Yumiko knew she had to move fast in front of Hikari so he wouldn't attack Rekkusu.

Hikari froze as he felt the air grow thick with chakra. He looked back at the Hokage, why was she building up chakra? Stepping back he realized that it was Rekkusu he had just attacked. Letting all his chakra drain out of his right arm, Hikari shook his head. "Whats Rekkusu doing here?" He turned to face Yumiko, this was wired why would Rekkusu be going with him on a mission. Its not like he hated Rekkusu it just didn't make sense that he would be going with him. I get it he must be needed after I leave to do another mission, he thought to himself.
"Are you ok Rekkusu? Sorry but I thought you where any enemy with all the noise you where making. That and the guards where after you, making it seem like you where one." He let his speech ramble a little, he was really nervous he would get in trouble for hurting Rekkusu. That or Rekkusu would hate him know for attacking him. |

Rekkusu managed to get out of the headhunter jutsu after everything calmed down. He brushed himself off and sighed. "Oh it's no biggie, the guards have never really liked me anyways. They probably thought I was up to some trickery. To be honest I wish I was, but I guess the Hokage probably has some super dangerous mission for me that only I'm capable of doing because she realized my abilities and knew that was no better candidate except for the great Rekkusu Hyuga."
He looked towards the Hokage now. "So lady, what's the mission? Rescue a beautiful damsel in distress? Wipe out an enemy encampment? Track down a bingo book member? You name it and Rekkusu is on the job." He spoke like he had complete confidence in himself, and sort of acted a bit cocky. In reality he didn't care either way. One way he'd do a mission so great he'd become the village hero, or he'd just get another great lazy day to himself. Both were appealing to him.

Yumiko slowed down with a deep sigh, happy that this part of the building wasn't destroyed. That's all that I really need. She mentally sighed to herself. She released her jutsu and slowly walked back to her desk. She sat down as both talked and bragged about what the mission will be. Her green eyes looked between both Hikari and Rekkusu. Her lips trembled at the amusement that the genin would get some top ranked mission.
"Well you both do have a mission." Yumiko chuckled leaning back into her chair. "And that's forming a new team." She nodded, crossing her arms. "Rekkusu this is your new Sensei. Hikari this is your student." She waved her hand from Rekkusu to Hikari and back again. She was silent for a moment to let both take in what she said.
"So, no. It will not be a rescue, wiping out enemy camps, or getting a bingo book member. You're still a genin." Her eyes locked onto Rekkusu, a brow was raised high. People say bluntness was her specialty at hurting people, especially when she told the truth. Yumiko felt no pain for others, she knew they always had to her it or else there would be consequences in the future.

Hikari took a step back, what I am going to teach Rekkusu? Hikari thought as he shook his head clear. "Umm I think there is a mistake. He is almost the same age as me, and I haven't been a teacher before." Hikari looked down at his feet, he wasn't sure he wanted to be a teacher. Not that he didn't want to help Rekkusu, he just didn't have the confidence he needed. That and it sounded like to much work, he would have even less time to chill. Though it would give him someone to hang out with on his missions. He let out a sigh, "if you really need me to I will teach him."
What am I going to do, he thought. I don't think Rekkusu would be able to look up to me like a normal student would. We are to close in age. He snapped out of his thoughts, and looked over to Rekkusu to see what his reaction to the whole thing would be. |

Rekkusu gave a blank stare and mouth slowly opened, "Huuuh...?" He blinked quickly a few times. "And here I thought the village had given up on me already. What a drag. I worked hard for my reputation." He sighed. He had nothing against Hikari, in fact, Hikari was probably the only one in the village he actually didn't mind, but that was probably because they were alike in several ways. He hung his head low in thought. Thought about how this would affect his days to relax and do absolutely nothing.
He sighed again looking up with a smile. "Alright! It'll be fine... Right, Hikari... sensei?" The title didn't mean much to Rekkusu, but he figured he'd toss that in just for the hell of it. "In fact lady, you may have just solved all your problems in the village now. With Hikari... sensei and I, we're like perfectly fit for any and all missions. So fear no more, you just picked probably the two best ninja in the village." He gave a big smile, though the word sensei would take some getting used to again.

Yumiko looked over at Hikari. "Well this should be easy for both of you." She beamed a smile. "And I'll be happy if you take this on?" Her attention went to Rekkusu to see his responce. He was silent to her for a moment. Yumiko then laughed heartedly at Rekkusu's expression to his new situation. What reputation? Her green eyes rolled as she leaned on her hand.
She then looked between both, feeling satisefied that she had accomplished something that's some people have been bothering her about. "I'm glad that I've found a great two man team. I hope you both do a great job." Yumiko nodded slowly.
"Also, there could be more members coming." She shrugged, noticing most numbers for the genin was pretty low. "But that could be a low chance. But that's all for now; if you guys need anything, do ask."

"Well there is one thing I would like to ask you lady Hokage. Could you please send us on a mission, I know we where just made a team. I think it would do Rekkusu some good though. After all he has been in the village now for quite some time. I am sure getting him out of the village for a mission would be fun." He looked over at Rekkusu then back to the Hokage. He hoped Rekkusu wouldn't mind that he was volunteering them for a mission. It didn't have to be anything big just a mission that would get them out of the village for a few days. I wounder if lady Hokage will go for it though, its not like we have ever worked together before. So I wouldn't be surprised if she told us no. |

Rekkusu nodded, "Yeah I agree, or you could just give us some vacation time. I think I'm about due anyways." He leisurly strolled to the window very much distracted by the outside world now. "Something tropical would be nice." He smiled half heartedly out the window. He then looked back to Hikari, "You're probably due for vacation time too. Do we have to like fill out some form, or put in a request or something like that? I always wondered how vacation time worked. It is after all a very important matter I believe." He gave a very serious look now.

Yumiko eyed her pile of folders of things to sign and look over. Her attention then went back up to Hikari and rose an eyebrow. "Well let me see what I got." Yumiko shuffled through her pile, grummbling to herself. "Ah hah! Here we go."
She pulled out the folder and slapped it down on her desk. "This is one mission that most people really can't do or even refuse." She looked at both of them. "I believe I can trust you both do this." A smile grew on her face, letting the pause grow so both could get excited about it. "Capture Mrs. Gardener's Cat." Yumiko folded her hands on top of herself, she shoulders shook from keeping in her laughter.

For a moment Rekkusu thought he was getting what he deserved, his moment to shine without the rest of the Hyuga clan claiming to be his reason for his rise to fame. Then his mood totally changed. "Mrs. Gardener's cat? You're talking about a big cat right? Like a lion, or a tiger right? It's been eating villager's I'm sure. I mean there's obviously no way you mean some small harmless house cat, cause that would just be stupid. I mean, that wouldn't even be a job for a ninja. That would definitely bring shame and embarrassment to any shinobi sent to do such a menial task such as that, so obviously you mean some vicious big man eating cat. That sounds risky, so I'll do it!" He smiled big now.
