Hikaris mouth hit the floor, what? They had to go save a dumb cat. How was this even a mission? This was more like busy work. Just to keep them out of the Hokages hair, he looked over at Rekkusu and shook his head. Poor Rekkusu, he is never going to live this down by the Hygu family. "So Mrs. Gardener's cat, right we can go find it. Where do we need to go to find Mrs. Gardener's house?" His eyes glared at the lady Hokage, "Though if I may say so lady Hokage, I don't find this as funny as you do." As he said this he turned his back and walked out the Hokages room. He didn't care if that had been out of line, this mission was a waist of their time and ability.
Hikari didn't even know if Rekkusu had followed him out, he walked down the hall in a very pissed off mood. "Who the hell does she think she is? Pissing away Rekkusu's and my talent, we should be going on the same missions the other ninja our age are going on." He said this all under his breath, not wanting the guards to hear him talk bad about the Hokage. |

Yumiko sat back and listened. She then chuckled at Rekkusu's reaction. "Yeah, I guess you can say it is a big man-eating cat." She sighed as Hikari gotten mad, he knows what this mission truly is. "Her house is in the center part of the village." Yumiko pressed her lips together. "I know you don't find it funny and neither do I. But let me just say that we're low on genin's help at the moment." Her eyes flickered over to Rekkusu and back to Hikari who started to leave.
"I never liked this mission either, but sadly it's a necessary evil." She mumbled, remembering having to do this mission a lot when she had her own team. "I know you're feeling." Her eyes then scanned her desk. "It's a lot better than this." Yumiko sighed out.

Rekkusu grinned widely when the Hokage kind of confirmed his thoughts. However, he didn't really catch the sarcasm since he was caught up in his own little world. He turned and followed Hikari. "Alright, peace out lady!" He made a quick wave to the Hokage as he stepped out of the office with Hikari.
Walking by Hikari's side he laughed a little, "I don't think she truly understands our potential Hikari-sensei." The title was already becoming a bit of a habit now, but it didn't bother him anymore. At least he was stuck with one ninja who he didn't mind, it was the possibility of other ninja being put into this team that he wasn't too fond of. "Well I guess let's get this mission knocked and then go relax as we should." He laughed again, more to himself this time.

A smile soon was on Hikari's face, when Rekkusu told him that they could get it done then relax. Why didn't I think of that? He chuckled to himself as they walked out of the Administration building. "Ok lets get this over with," Hikari wanted to get it over and done with as soon as possible. It's a dumb cat, so it shouldn't take long. We can just go talk to the lady about where she last so the cat. Then we can come up with the rest of the plan from there." He started to walk to the center of the village. Why did it have to be a cat? He hated cats, it seemed like they where always getting lost in the village.
Soon they had reached the ladies house, Hikari walked up and knocked on the door. A large lady opened the door crying, "Hello we are leaf ninja here to find your cat." Hikari said, the lady cried even harder at the mention of her cat. Hikari sighed, he could tell already that this was going to be more of a pain then he was hoping for. |

Rekkusu nodded following Hikari. He stood back a step from Hikari as he knocked on the door. When the lady came out crying he sighed. It was just a cat after all. Then she started crying hard when Hikari mentioned the cat. He slowly shook his head. He looked past the lady into her house and saw a picture on a table of her squeezing the life out of a large white cat with a hug. Maybe this wouldn't be so hard after all he thought.
"Byakugan!" The veins around his eyes bulged as his Byakugan was activated. He started looking around and not long after he smiled. "You're lucky to have someone with Byakugan working with you." He laughed a little. "Right there!" He exlaimed and without another word he took off running.

Hikari followed after Rekkusu, this might be pretty easy after all. Running down the street Hikari saw a flash of white as the cat took off running. "Crap" he yelled as he ran faster. The sooner they got this damn cat the sooner he could get a real mission. The cat ran down the street only about a foot away from Rekkusu and Hikari. We are going to get him, Hikari thought. A shadow fell across Hikari, looking up from the cat Hikari sighed. Up ahead was a large tree and the cat was going strait for it. Soon the cat was up in the tree looking down at the two ninja with mocking eyes. "You damn cat" Hikari screamed at the cat. |

Rekkusu chased after the cat alongside Hikari running up and down the streets until he too saw the tree up ahead. The cat immediately ran straight up it just as Rekkusu thought he would. He stopped under the tree as Hikari yelled at the cat. Rekkusu stared at the cat for a moment and shook his head. "Sorry Hikari, but I can't just let this one cat hold us back from a real mission."
With that he ran up the tree as fast as he could. The cat leapt further up trying to get away as Rekkusu kept ascending right along with the cat. Looking up into the tree you could no longer see Rekkusu or the cat. A moment later Rekkusu jumped down from the tree with the cat in his arms fast asleep. "I figured he could use a good nap." He smiled big laughing.

Hikari ran over to the tree, he watched as Rekkusu ran up the tree after the cat. I hope he can catch him, he thought kicking his feet in the dirt. Rekkusu soon came down with the cat sleeping in his arms. How did he do that? "Good job Rekkusu, now we can give this cat back to his owner and get a real mission." With this said he turned around and started to walk back to the ladies house. It wouldn't be very late when they would get back to report to the Hokage. So I bet she will give us another mission he thought to himself. He just hoped that it wouldn't be some lame mission like this one again. This mission was more for academy students, not for real ninja. |

Rekkusu walked alongside Hikari as they made there way back to the lady's house. As they reached the house he knocked and the lady opened the door, and without warning snatched the cat from his arms and squeezed the life out of it bringing it right out of its sleep causing it freak out.
Rekkusu started to leave with Hikari and he shook his head. "I kind of feel bad for the cat now."

"Yeah I know what you mean," Hikari replied as he to watched the poor cat get hugged to death. "Alright lets go report to lady Hokage." He ran off in the direction of the Administration building. I hope its not to late to get a new mission he thought. Walking up the stairs to the Hokages office Hikari turned to Rekkusu. "So what do you really think of me being your teacher? I know it kind of is wired and all, but I will try my best to be a good teacher." He stopped before knocking on the Hokages door. He wanted to wait to here what Rekkusu would say what he thought about being his studient. |

Rekkusu followed after Hikari to the Administration building. He was hoping they could get a mission where they would at least leave the village. He would probably be irate if they got another mission like the one they just got done with. There was no way that was even a D rank mission, it had to be the only E rank mission possible, and he was quite sure there was no such thing as E rank.
He then stopped as Hikari asked him a question. He thought for a moment, "Well... to be honest, you're lucky I don't think you're annoying. So I don't really have a problem with it. You're not stuck up, you're not a hard ass, and you're not obsessed with procedures, so I'm not really complaining at this point."

Hikari was happy to hear Rekusu say what he did. He nodded his head, "well thanks." He walked up to the Hokage's door and knocked on it, then let himself in. "Lady Hokage we got the mission done." |

He walked in behind Hikari and was about to open his mouth, but then for some reason just decided not to. He just stood there and gave a quick nod. Something, probably instinct, told him that would be the better route. So he stood there and just waited for the Hokage to give them another mission, and he really hoped it would be something of interest unlike the last one.
