Out of the woods came the sound of laughter. Shortly fallowing the laughter came a girl dressed in black and pink. Around her left arm was a band that identified her as a Chunin. Lying on her bed was a light brown and white puppy. Melody was heading to a row of wooden dummy's. As she stepped up to them and began punching and kicking it. Time went by and the wood began to turn red where she would hit it. From a distance you could hear her shouting "chya, chya, chya." Ririkku was now lying beneath a tree fast asleep. Hours had come and gone since they had first arrived that morning.

cross we won't be here tomorrow, hold onto me for one last time "speech"||thoughts||"other people" The day, so far, had been like every other day. It was almost the afternoon, but not quite. Twelve was about an hour away, or at least that's what the Chuunin, who went by the name of Cross, thought. She had woken up late. Again. Stupid alarm clock, she muttered inwardly. Can't even do an easy task, like waking me up every morning at seven. I mean, come on! Is that too much to ask? It must be, since her alarm clock failed to wake her up each and every morning. It was a surprise that she was still considered a Chuunin. That and the fact that her neighbors still hadn't complained about how she always screamed profanity at her alarm clock around ten every morning. With a sigh, she exited her front door and began to head toward an area which seemed to be a forest. Upon closer observation, it turned out it was a forest. Cross was just a bit paranoid. Heaving yet another sigh, she continued to walk, until she thought she heard something. She paused, glancing around before starting to head deeper.
Maybe I imagined it, she mused, running a hand through her light brown tresses. Gray eyes still scanned the area every now and then for moving shapes, though. Cross came across a few rows of wooden dummies. Who the hell puts dummies in the woods? Maybe it's some new training technique, she thought. Then again, the area was sort of like a clearing, but she hadn't noticed that until after she saw the dummies. Oh, it's a training clearing. As she walked down the rows, she came across a young girl, who looked about her age. This girl was training, using the dummies as..... well, dummies. After each hit, Cross heard the girl shout "chya, chya". The sound of the dummy being hit echoed in Cross's ears, and she was certainly glad that she wasn't the dummy, though she probably would've been fighting back, if she had been the one being hit. "I see you're working hard." she said, deciding to go ahead and announce her presence before the girl could find out by herself, if she hadn't already.

Melody hears Ririkku growl softly. She came running up to her and lept on her shoulders. Melody knew someone was coming. her sense of smell warned her. But she continued to punch the dummy. Her dark plum hair whipped around her as she moved. Her eyes where hard and focused. When the girl finally stepped out from the forest she turned to look at her. Her pinkish dark plum colored eyes quickly raked over her. She didn't look like a threat. When the girl spoke she shrugged and headed to the tree where a small pack was she opened it and grabbed a bottle of water from it and quickly gulped some down. Her right hand wiped across her forehead wiping the sweat away. "One needs to stay in shape if they ever want to become a great Ninja. I take it your here to train as well? What other reason would there be fore being here." It wasn't a question but a statement. Ririkku was now lying on Melody's head relaxing. She wasn't sure what to make of this stranger and would keep an eye on her until she knew the girl wasn't a threat. cross we won't be here tomorrow, hold onto me for one last time "speech"||thoughts||"other people" The brunette watched the plum-haired girl look over her, obviously trying to see if Cross was a threat. I see she's pretty careful, isn't she, Cross mused. It took her a while to notice the dog on the girl's shoulders. I used to have a pet, the girl remembered. Wait, never mind, that was Altair's. Damn thing always tried to bite me. What was it again? Oh yeah, a cat. She was brought back the the world of the present when the girl shrugged and walked over a pack, which Cross also had not noticed. Wow, aren't my skills sharp today? She saw the girl reach into the bag and pull out a water bottle, taking a couple of gulps before putting it back down. Then, the girl wiped a hand across her sweaty forehead. "One needs to stay in shape if they ever want to become a great ninja. I take it your here to train as well? What other reason would there be for being here." the other girl said. Cross had to look down to hide her embarrassed blush. She wanted to say, "Of course! Why else would I come?" but her, with her habit of being blunt, didn't say that at all. No, she decided to tell the truth. If this girl had any problem with it, then she would have to deal with it.
"No, actually, I was just walking, and I came across this area. Can't believe I never really noticed it before. That or I didn't care to remember that there was a training area over here. I might as well train here, though, since my training time is long overdue." she said, looking back up again. Her hand brushed subconsciously against the pouch hidden underneath her shirt, up on her thigh. Wearing a long shirt like the one she had on was good if she was trying to hide the fact that she was a ninja. Except if you have a symbol, she added. Yeah, that could ruin a spy mission.

Dirty blond hair flowed in the slight breeze, cream skin aglow from the suns rays. Eyes, closed, peeked open, only to shut once more. A mid-looking teen lay in the soft green grass, her pink camisole and frilly gray skirt swishing in sync with the swaying of the grass. Her gray sandals taken off and under a nearby tree.
There was a faint purring in the girls ear, causing her to open her eyes again. A pink white cat was curled up next to her, it's soft green eyes staring up at her. "Hay, Sango." The girl said, scratching the cat behind the ears. The cat purred more and licked her hand. It was days like this that Koneko like most. Warm but also cool. A great day to relax. Or so she thought when she heard someone practicing in the woods. She wanted to ignore it, but Sango had stood up and was already walking towards the noise. With a sigh, she stood. "Sango, I know you are curious and stuff, but come on. I thought we'd agree to relax." Sango just looked at her and sniffed, showing she wanted to see who it was.
As they got closer, she heard the practicing stop and two girls talking. As they got closer, her nose caught something. She could smell a dog, and one person she knew. As she entered a clearing, she was the person she knew. She was sweaty and talking to another girl, one she had smelled as well but did not recognize. There was a dog on the girls shoulder. Sango hopped onto her own shoulder and meowed at the dog. "Morning, Ririkku, morning Melody." Koneko said and Sango purred.

Melody arched her right eyebrow disbelieving. How could this girl have never heard of or seen this place. Where did she train? How did she even become a Chunin with out training here at least once. It was the main training area. Everyone trained here. Her hair blew softly around her face as a gust of wind wrapped around her. She smiled and lifted her head a little. Melody was different from most. She hated being hot and loved the cold. She was about to reply to the girl when another scent reached her. This one was familiar and made her smile. She knew her friend and clan mate was heading towards them.
Ririkku barked a greeting her tail wagging softly but stayed put on melody's head. Melody smiled and waved. "Morning Sango morning Koneko. I'm surprised to see you hear." Koneko had told her yesterday they where planning on relaxing today. She was planning on resting the rest of the day once she was done training. Turning back to the other girl she held her hand out. "As you heard my friend say I'm Melody and this here is Ririkku."

cross we won't be here tomorrow, hold onto me for one last time "speech"||thoughts||"other people" Cross saw the other girl raise an eyebrow disbelievingly. Yeah, I know. Surprising, isn't it? Cross felt the breeze on her face, stifling a growl as her hair went into her eyes. The wind can sure be annoying, she inwardly grumbled. A slight frown formed on her lips as she pushed her hair back into place. She saw the other girl smile as the wind blew against her. Must be one of those nature lovers, the brunette girl mused. She saw the girl about to reply, but then she stopped, smiling at something that was behind the brunette girl. Cross slowly turned, hearing Melody's dog bark. "Morning, Ririkku, morning Melody." she heard the blonde-haired girl say. Now who is this? Why don't I know anybody? I need to pay more attention. "Morning Sango, morning Koneko. I'm surprised to see you here." she heard Melody reply. Cross froze, seeing the animal-Sango- with the other girl, who was called Koneko. A cat? God must hate me. I can not stand cats! Why am I so unlucky? "As you heard my friend say I'm Melody, and this here is Ririkku." Melody said. Cross turned back around to face Melody, hoping that her irritation wasn't showing on her face. "Nice to meet you," the brunette said. "I'm Cross."

Koneko smiled at her the girl she didn't know. This girl had fine brunette hair, it seemed to flow elegantly around her face, though at times it would blow into her face. She looked at her gray eyes and felt Sango stiffen a bit on her shoulder. The girl look irritated that she was here, and she seemed to be looking at Sango. Nodding her head when Melody stated she was surprised to see her here, glanced over at her, but only until the other girl spoke. "Nice to meet you, I'm Cross" The girl said and she could tell that the girls words weren't exactly true. She could tell that Cross wasn't exactly happy to see her. "Hello, Cross. As Melody already stated, I'm Koneko, and this" She motioned her head towards her cat, "is my cat Sango." She studied Cross for a few seconds. "You don't like cat's, do you?" She asked with a look that stated she wasn't actually asking. Without waiting for a reply she looked back at Melody. "Yeah, I was relaxing." She glared at Sango who only sneezed back. "We could hear you practicing and being as curious as she is, wanted to come investigate. I had no choice but to follow." As if to say 'sorry', Sango licked her cheek, then purred and hopped down, strutting over to Cross, but staying a respectable distance away.
